1991 marked the year Nike debuted its Air Huarache — a lightweight, tech-filled sneaker that provided rivalled-by-few comfort. And that approach continues with this women’s pair, only there are some eco-minded touches. The sock-like uppers — famously inspired by water skiing boots — and all-important Air cushioning remain, only the usual leather overlays are switched out for a synthetic, cracked-effect variant and there’s recycled cork worked into the outer sole and supportive ankle cage.
